Dr. Cohen takes his time, listens, does thorough exams to determine the problem and the best solution. A few years ago, he did PRP for my knee that cured it--no problems since. Recently, he did cortisone injections for my hip osteoarthritis that, so far, a month later, is now asymptomatic. Now we are working on a new problem, to determine whether I have herniated discs causing new symptoms or if it is one of the plethora of disorders that mimic herniated discs. He and his team care.

Amazing knowledge. Great bedside manner. I went in for pain that I’ve had in my shoulder for almost a year. I had a limited range of motion which made it very difficult to perform daily tasks. I tried everything short of witchcraft. Nothing worked. NOTHING!! I went to Dr. Cohen who used a machine (Ultrasound) to find the issues. I had major tears in several muscles. Now, I researched this procedure extensively. Coastal Regenerative was the ONLY clinic that used GUIDED injections which made the injection more precise. Fast forward. This is my second time receiving PRP from Dr. Cohen. The previous treatment lasted over two years, so I am very happy about the length of time that I can be pain-free. Dr. Cohen spends the time required to treat the problem, and in my case it meant over two hours since it was a tricky procedure involving shots into the sternal and costochondral junctions of the ribs. We started with a steroid treatment which worked well in one shoulder but did not resolve the other. Now am starting a PRP treatment as a next step. I feel well cared for under him.

My situation was complicated but she simplified and helped develop a solution on the spot that would eventually heal me! I'm thrilled with the results after just one session! Her skill are truly impressive. I appreciate the relief after struggling with back pain for nearly a year. She actively followed up several times after the procedure and patiently offered many solutions to make me feel more comfortable. Dr. Cohen is an intelligent, thoughtful physician. He has listened carefully to me. I have had painful CMC (thumb joint) osteoarthritis in both right and left thumb joints for over three years. Under the direction of various physicians I’ve had physical therapy and steroid injections. One year ago I had right hand CMC arthroplasty surgery by an esteemed and ‘un-named’ San Diego hand surgeon. The post op pain was excruciating an did not appreciably subside after 6 months. Upon my last visit I was told the pain had nothing to do with his surgery and was advised to undergo yet another surgery in the same area of the right wrist. I was also told to take two Tylenol and two ibuprofen along with a glass of wine at night for the pain. I felt very hopeless. This is when I found Dr. Cohen online. I was surely ready for PRP/ stem cell therapy. I had decided against any more surgery. Six months ago Dr. Cohen provided stem cell and PRP therapy for my left CMC joint (this was the wrist that had not had surgery but was also very painful). I am six months out from Dr. Cohen’s left wrist stem cell/PRP therapy. My left wrist is virtually pain free I am one year out from my right wrist surgery and still experiencing considerable pain. Dr. Cohen has agreed to help me with my right wrist. I can’t adequately describe what a gift Dr. Cohen has given me. I have a pain free left wrist. After three years I can write and my hand no longer shakes from pain. I have very positive thoughts that he may be able to help my right wrist. Last thing: Dr. Cohen is very kind and has a good sense of humor. The office is very welcoming as well.

Dr. RONALD COHEN explained the procedures he does in a very thorough manner. He let me watch the ultrasound while he was performing the images on both of my hips. He explained what he was looking at and what his findings were. At the end of the consultation he recommended hip surgery on one of my hips. Very honest and caring doctor. He also spent about an hour with me, far more time than my regular Orthopedic doctor ever gave me.

I highly recommend Dr. Ronald Cohen and his team at Coastal Regenerative Orthopedics for stem cell procedures and beyond. We are super happy 3 months after the procedure where I had my bone marrow stem cells injected into my knees and shoulder. I can now walk up and down my stairs "noise free"!!!!! No more bone on bone grinding. My right knee has a torn ACL, and after receiving a majority of the stem cells, my knee has been healing well with much more strength and stability. I had also stem cells injected in my right shoulder which is also feeling much better overall and I have much more range of motion and strength than I did before. My left shoulder had PRP injections and is also noticeably better after a labral tear. Both shoulders had labral tears and lots of inflammation/tendonitis/bursitis. Now both are feeling much much better!! I'm surfing better than I have in years and finally back on my board at about 90%. I look forward to the next 15 months where I'm going to be climbing up to 100% and catching huge barrels in Bali!!! Dr. Cohen and his team are excellent, knowledgable, caring, personable, and they take their time to thoroughly engage with the patient. With a torn tendon (ischial whatever-it's-called) it hurt to sit for very long. An ultrasound showed the two microtears in the tendon. With a PRP injection, about two months later, a second ultrasound showed the two microtears about 75% healed. Symptoms are diminishing as well. Some doctors might have performed a second PRP upon the patient's request, but Dr. Cohen and his team are interested in health, not raking in profits or merely appeasing a patient's wishes whether relevant or not. I highly recommend Dr. Cohen and his team!

Dr Cohen has performed several procedures on my knee over the past 8 years to avoid knee replacement. He initially performed a stem cell procedure which we have followed up with alternating PRP and hyaluronic acid injections every year. After 13 years of my searching for answers to my pain after a car accident, he’s the only one who has figured out what my injuries are. Excellent feed back from doctor to patient. Therapy's are painless and work. Results are virtually immediate and continue to improve for the ailments you are trying to treat. Having been a stem cell recipient over ten years ago on a lateral meniscus problem, things still in really good shape.
